EEP participants visit local food manufacturer Kestral Foods

As part of their Business Operations workshop, CIDO's Exploring Enterprise participants visited Kestral Foods on a work study visit.

They were welcomed by Production Manager, Raymond McKeveney who took them for a behind the scenes look into the production of one of their brands, Forest Feast.

A spokesperson for CIDO said: "It was a real eye opener for everyone who attended and a great insight into the rigors involved in food production to ensure there is no cross contamination particularly where allergens such as nuts are involved.

"Following a very informative tour, and having witnessed a variety of processes and operations our participants got to sample some of the finished products."
